Woodland girls drop opener to Fredericktown 65-31

Lacey Moore scored 14 points, but it wasn't enough as the Woodland girls basketball team opened its season with a loss.

The Cardinals fell to Fredericktown 65-31 on Monday.

Taylor Seckman added eight points in the loss.

Kara Versemann led the Crusaders with six points, but the Bulldogs featured too much Monica Gray-El.

Gray-El finished with 20 points and Amber Minner added 15 for Sikeston.
