ST. LOUIS -- Some of the most exquisite silver pieces ever made will be on display at the St. Louis Art Museum starting Sunday.
"Beyond the Maker's Mark: Paul de Lamerie Silver in the Cahn Collection" is a collection of silver created by Paul de Lamerie, viewed as England's most accomplished 18th-century silversmith. More than 40 examples of de Lamerie's work and close to a dozen by other London silversmiths will be on display in the exhibition.
The objects range from intricate candelabras to dishes to a soup bowl in the shape of a turtle.
For more information on the exhibition, call the museum at 314-721-0072. The exhibition will remain on display through Jan. 20.
