Wait till summer to do bridge work on Bloomfield

To the editor:

I just read the article about the bridge work on Bloomfield Road. The construction superintendent indicated that the ground around the temporary gravel detour is saturated with water and doesn't drain well. He also said that "it is just a bad time of the year" to use the gravel detour. Why don't city officials wait until the summer to do this three-month project? Wouldn't it be safer for area families?
