Marjie M. Lynch, 85, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Broken Arrow, Okla., died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1922, in Atwood, Kan., daughter of Sylvester C. and Emma Louise Ohlson Loker. She and Archie K. Lynch were married Jan. 14, 1951, in McCook, Neb. He died July 31, 1981.
Lynch was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, and a former member of First Presbyterian Church, deacon and member of the Mission Committee in Broken Arrow.
She had been a registered nurse in surgery at St. Francis Medical Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., and worked in health services at Tulsa Community Junior College. She was a volunteer many years with Broken Arrow Neighborhood Food Pantry.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine Stahlinski of Woburn, Mass., Evelyn Bertrand of Cape Girardeau, Elaine Jones of Broken Arrow; a son, David A. Lynch of Broken Arrow; two sisters, Phyllis Clendinnen of New Palestine, Ind., Audrey Larson of Brighton, Colo.; a brother, Keith Loker of Fayetteville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow.
