Driving safety program to be held Friday
Tuesday, September 25, 2007
A driving safety program designed to gauge how safe a vehicle is for an older driver will be offered Friday at the Osage Community Centre. Called Car Fit, the program is sponsored by the American Society on Aging, AAA, the American Occupational Therapy Association and the AARP. Those who sign up for Car Fit receive a comprehensive check of their automobile, along with a 12-point checklist to enhance driving safety. The program is open to all drivers 50 years old and older, by appointment only, 10 a.m. to noon or 2 to 4 p.m. For more information about Car Fit, or to make an appointment, call 335-79008.
