Correction 9/24/07
Monday, September 24, 2007
The House Ways and Means subcommittee urges all taxpayers denied earned Social Security to write a detailed letter explaining how the loss of promised Social Security benefits will affect their retirement. Letters should be sent to members of Congress who represent those affected, which varies according to where they reside. Visit www.congress.org, enter your ZIP code and find out who to write to. The address was incorrect in the Aug. 20 edition. The Southeast Missourian regrets the error.
