Lipke offers help, seeks prayers

To the editor:With the current vacancy in the 158th District, I want to offer my assistance to anyone in my neighboring district who may need help with a constituent issue or a matter involving state government. If you need to get in touch with me or need assistance on any matter, please contact Judy Schepers in my Jefferson City office at (573) 751-6662 or by e-mail at scott.lipke@house.mo.gov. You can also contact Lauri Spain at my local office at 335-0706.

On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone who has been praying for my family and our unborn daughter. As many of you know, she was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome that will require three separate open-heart surgeries to correct the heart defect. Ashley is currently scheduled to deliver at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis today (Sept. 18). Our baby will then be immediately taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital where she will have her first open-heart surgery at some point during the first week.

We have set up a Web site at www.caringbridge.org/visit/katelipke in order to keep everyone updated. Once again, Ashley and I are so appreciative of all the churches who have us on their prayer lists and to all the individuals who have come up to us and shared words of encouragement. Thank you and please continue to keep us and baby Kate in your prayers.
