Delta advances with win over host Chaffee

Delta's girls basketball team defeated Chaffee 55-41 in the final first-round game of the Chaffee Tournament on Wednesday.

Sarah Cook scored 21 points to lead Delta (3-0). Chaffee (1-2) was led by Samantha Hendrix with 13 points.

Scott City outscored East Prairie 19-2 in the first quarter and won 64-27 to advance to the consolation finals.

A late Kelly run fell short as Sikeston advanced 57-53.
