Former rep asks judge for passportThursday, August 30, 2007Former state representative Nathan Cooper, free on bond pending sentencing on immigration charges, on Wednesday asked U.S. District Judge Jean C. Hamilton for permission to take a two-week trip to the Philippines. Hamilton did not rule on the request, but Cooper's attorney said government opposition to the request will kill it. In a document filed Wednesday, Cooper sought the return of his passport, which he had surrendered as a condition of his bond on two felony counts of federal immigration fraud. In the filing, Cooper's attorney, Joel Schwartz, said he had discussed the trip with assistant federal prosecutor Jim Crowe, who is handling the case for the government, and that Crowe had taken no stand on the request. That wasn't correct and resulted from a misunderstanding, said Crowe, who filed a motion opposing the request in the afternoon. In a short interview, Schwartz said government opposition would prevent the trip. "It is not going to happen," he said. Crowe said Schwartz had mistaken his stance following a discussion of numerous issues related to the case. Crowe said he wasn't sure about the nature of the trip. "My sense is he was going to do some immigration business." Cooper, a Republican, pleaded guilty Aug. 9 to helping two clients of his law practice obtain temporary worker visas for foreign truck drivers to work in the United States. He resigned his legislative seat Aug. 14, and his license to practice law has been suspended by the Missouri Supreme Court. In one of the two counts, Cooper is charged with purchasing 110 temporary worker visas from Philippine-born U.S. citizen Omega Paulite, who also faces immigration charges. Cooper did not return calls seeking comment. In the motion filed with the court, Cooper described his proposed voyage as a business trip on behalf of Business Improvement Solutions LLC, a company he created in April. Cooper's connection with the company was not mentioned in the court filing. Cooper's partner in the company said he wasn't aware Cooper was planning the trip. "He organized the company for us a few months ago," said Ronald Randen of Gideon, Mo. "It never really got started. It was just in a dormant mode." Any trip would have been at Cooper's expense, Randen said. "There is no money in the company till." Despite the lack of funds, the company, which on its Web site lists its address as 1917 William St. -- the same address as Cooper's law firm -- Business Improvement Solutions made a $420 contribution to Cooper's re-election campaign July 16. The address listed for the contribution was Randen's home. "That money we just put in" to make the donation, Randen said. Randen said he's known Cooper for about six years. In 2006, Randen's wife, Donna Randen, contributed $650 to Cooper's re-election. Cooper apparently is traveling while awaiting his Oct. 19 sentencing. The Arch City Chronicle Web site reported Wednesday that Cooper was in New Orleans over the weekend attending a Council of State Governments forum. Federal policies generally restrict defendants' travel in the United States, Crowe said. "Normally in these kinds of cases they need permission to do that from their pretrial services officer," Crowe said. He was unsure whether Cooper obtained the necessary permission. Cooper's court filing included a detailed itinerary. He was to depart St. Louis at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 13, then spend two days in Manila at the Oxford Suites Hotel, which describes itself on the its Web site as "one of the finest hotels in Manila in Philippines." Cooper then planned to travel to Davao City for a weeklong stay at the Casa Leticia, which calls itself "a statement of elegance and class we offer the ultimate in service that every business person on the go deserves." In Manila again Sept. 24, Cooper planned to stay at the Hotel Sulo, which calls itself "one of the prestigious accommodations of the city which provides the guests with ultimate comfort and luxury." Cooper would have returned to Missouri on Sept. 27. 335-6611, extension 126 Comments |

Because he has already pled guilty, Cooper would be labeled as a 'fugitive,' and subject to immediate deportation if he failed to return to the U.S. as scheduled.
He would be unable to avail himself to the protections of extradition laws (http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhoff2.html)
And although the Phillipines have a less than stellar record when it comes to returning our convicts, who wouldn't enjoy watching ole Coop endure a good caining? Besides, after doing so much illegal business with his Phillipean contacts, what could it hurt to let him visit them for a while prior to his decade of being tail-slammed. I say, "Let him go."
(Or, just take the money he saves from not going, & apply it towards his monstrous fine.)
And also - why was he in New Orleans at a Government forum? Does he not get it? He's a convicted felon. He's no longer IN state Government - nor is he likely to ever be again. He's no longer licensed to practice law. He's probably going to prison.
Perhaps N.O. is the only place left where he can find people worse off than himself.
This guy has the typical attitude of a republican. In complete denial.
The republican scandals keeping mounting up. Remember the good old days of the Clinton Administration when the only things the republicans had to throw stones at was Clinton's activities in his private office.
Republicans have sure raised the bar for democrats these days. Immigration fraud, releasing covert CIA agents identitiy to the media. sex with boys and solicitiing same sex encounters in an airport, not to mention the lies of the bush administration that have led to the death of over 3,000 innocent men and women.
Creating a company which only act has been to donate to his campaign. If it's not, this should be illegal. Interesting on how he wants to go on business for a company which is dormant.
your sooo right Dems never do anything wrong I mean look at that whole $80,000 in the frig thing, that was just a big misunderstanding right? Then there was that whole Marrion Berry norting cocaine on that video. Funny thing is both of those Dems got reelected after their fallings. Politicians are politicians. Young lawyers groomed for their turn at the top. We need to start over.
Donnie:
I agree with you Bill Clinton committed a felony (perjury) and he is the Democratic God. I posted a website the other day that showed all these so called Democrats supporting the war and now thier backing off what they said, at least Bush has not backed down and he is getting the job done, no one ever said it was going to be easy, but it appears that we whole country that wants to sit and judge him and 99.9 percent of them have absolutly no clue as to what he knows or hears from his advisors!
I suspect he was going to the PI to set up another store front like he used to do in Saudi Arabia and the UAE where he would take thousands of dollars from arabs to fill out US visa applications. Nice.
Unfortunately if he leaves us taxpayers get stuck with the bill to bring him back if he does not return. The Philippines where money will get you just about anything.
This is not a catch and release program. He was fairly caught and deserves to be treated like any other prisoner waiting to be sentenced. The risk of flight increases exponentially as the sentencing date draws near.
Politics remind me of sports. A bunch of prima donnas believing they are immune from the rules that govern the rest of us. Nathan Cooper scares me much more than Michael Vick.
The arrogance to continue to travel and conduct business in a manner that mocks the United States is pathetic. He obviously is trying to pocket some bucks to pay his fines and set up some type of business venture for when he is released.
I feel sorry for his family.
Cooper needs to have his head examined. To even ask for this is amazing.
Seriously. No really? For real, this is real. He really asked for that.
Maybe he's recruiting some Phillipine truckers.
Still waiting for some info about the Pullen Bros. trucking angle on Sikeston's Standard Democrat newspaper website. *sarcasm* I can't believe there has been nothing about it. The trucking owner is only a city councilman, so there should be no worries reporting that story. Right? Riiiiight. I have no idea whether or not the trucking company has done anything wrong, but it's still the Sikeston paper's obligation to post the story, isn't it? Well, there's a couple of reasons you're probably not going to see it. 1. The Standard editor is a defender of the Sikeston faith. Ye shall not, except when push comes to shove, print anything about the wrong-doings, or possible criminal involvement of Sikeston's elite. And, if you should, it's always a very sad predicament for the upstanding citizen involved. People will rush to him, or her with letters of leniency to judges, tell you about the person's relationship with the Lord, etc. 2. The trucking company may advertise with the Sikeston paper, and that creates a conflict of interest. It's probably not right, but that's sometimes a standard practice in media circles. I don't see much of their print paper, but I did see a Cooper story a week or two ago(not from their sister publication, the Southeast Missourian, but from the Associated Press) and it was on page 3??? Page three is a good page if your reading the "Sun" in England, but not for big locally-related stories in small town newspapers. It was probably the only story they could find that didn't mention Pullen Bros. trucking. You can rest assured that if the two trucking companies are found guilty of something along with Cooper, stories of that nature will not be written by the Standard-Democrat, if it appears in their publication at all.
OK, folks, put yourself in his place. What would you do with all of your free time? Come up with more ideas to make money! Since he has experience as an attorney and state legislator, he has a lot of contacts in and out of the state and country who could give a rip about his litigation. If he can show them the money, he is in.
And oh boy, can he ever have a "good time, long time" even if he is only there a short time, in the P.I.!
This guy is a real piece of work.
I just wanted to say *I feel absolutely sorry for his family..his wife and unborn child and anyother children he may or maynot have...he obviously doens't realize how his actions are hurting you! You all are in my prayers.
Where's Coop coming up with the money for this international trip? He should be reimbursing the taxpayers for the cost of the special election to replace him. He needs to stay home for the Semo fair and watch the tractor pull.
Nathan doesn't have a wife or children.
I believe his mother and father still live back home in Washington county MO. Certainly they deserve a bit of sympathy but think about the voters who picked him, the contributors who he continued to solicit money from even when he knew where he was headed or those people who put up his signs ...
There is no Republican coverup, and those of us in the party are as eager for Nathan to get what he deserves as the Democrats are. I can't believe he made the request, and am sure he is trying to get there to find a shady job for himself as a Phillipino lawyer or immigration consultant. What a riot. It will never be allowed.
Let me clarify...I was only speaking of the Standard's lack of reporting online about that angle. I'm only assuming that there has been little, or no reporting in the Standard's print version. The Southeast Missourian reported it, at least a time or two for sure. I appreciate you agreeing with me, however.
lovinlife's comment, "This guy has the typical attitude of a republican. In complete denial." should have read, "This guy has the typical attitude of a politician..."
Guru You are probably right but the repukes have really screwed things up since they seized power.
LL&LC, you need to educate yourself. I tried to de-emphasize the partisanship of the issue, but you keep running your mouth . . . so, read on-
Republicans:
1.) Nathan Cooper is no longer serving. He was ushered out by fellow republicans.
2.) Mark Foley is no longer serving. He was ushered out by fellow republicans.
3.) Larry Craig has been stripped of his leadership positions, and prominent Republican Party leaders have called for his resignation.
Democrats:
1.) William Jefferson (the Nigerian bribe taker with the money in the fridge) is still in office.
2.) Bill Clinton perjured himself in a federal investigation, and was impeached, but remained in office and is still considered the golden boy of the Democrat party.
3.) Barney Frank's gay lover (whom he met through a gay escort service) was running a gay prostitution service out of Barney Frank's Washington Apartment. Barney got wind that he was about to be found out, so Barney squealed on his lover to be proactive. Barney was never censured, and he is still in office to this day.
4.) Edward Kennedy. Well, we all know this one. Crash, glub, glub, glub. He's still in office.
5.) Gary Condit. Has affair with an intern. She comes up missing, then her remains are found in a DC park. No charges were ever filed. He remained in office until the next election.
6.) John Murtha. An "unindicted conspirator" in the Abscam sting. Video taped meeting with undercover FBI agents posing as Arabs wanting to buy fake immigration papers. He was never indicted, and he still serves today.
7.) Etc., etc., etc., (There are hundreds more where these came from . . .)
The point is that your woefully inadequate intellect cannot distinguish between right and wrong. Between the party that tries to right the wrongs once they are discovered, and the party that glorifies individuals even though they are crooks, charlatans and cads.
The excuse that "democrats will tell you they are perverts" is ridiculous and very revealing. Democrats have very low expectations of themselves and those who represent them. Republicans have very high expectations of themselves and those who represent them, and when they fail to meet those expectations, they do something about it.
Get a clue.
Oh, and name one Democrat politician who has ever helped a constituent. I don't consider keeping low income constituents tied to the welfare system as helping. I consider that opressing an entire class of citizenry with the sole intent of preserving that voting block for future generations of Democrat politicians.
Mental midgets all.
yasgurfarm you are completely dillusional. Mark Foley was outed only AFTER the parents went to the media. The Republican leadership hid and condoned Mark Foleys activities by not giving him the boot before the media exposed him (which was almost a year time span). After and only after the media exposed him by and through the parents of the children abused. He stepped down. The same repukes who denounced him were the ones that the parents reported the incident to and nothing was done. The republican leadership had a copy of the transcript of the text messages 6 months before Foley was outed and Stepped down.
I am not excusing the dems but at least they acknowlege they are perverts. You can decide if you want to vote for a queer or not upfront. The republicans act holier than though but are closeted queers, pedaphiles, and low lifes.
The majority of both parties are TRASH but the Republicans have proven themselves much worse for the country and much more dangerous.
Taking a bribe or being queer vs. having sex with little boys or committing treason(COOPER AND CHENEY)or having sex in public restrooms where children could be present. There is just no comparison. The republicans get the sewer rat award. Consensual sex between same sex adults in private while disgusting and immoral is not the abmonation that having sex with children is. To argue anything different shows you lack not only intelligence but moral fortitude. Better back down from your statments Yagursfarm.
Cooper continued in office till after he plead quilty. The republican party knew it was coming down the pike after all the prosecutor was a republican. They forced him out only after he plead quilty. He still has Republican party funds too.
Craig is still in office even after he plead quilty and Kit Bond Missouri republican is defending him. He plead quilty. He needs the immediate boot.
Dick Cheney was the leaker of Valerie Plames Name. Bush said that whoever leaked the name would be fired. He is still there. Why hasnt that been corrected.
Cooper committed treason against his country for some foreigners. Benedict Arnold did the same and you know what happened to him. There is no justification for betraying this country. By your statments you are spitting on the graves who fought to protect the American birthright. Americans must all stand up to protect this country against the invasion of foriegners. Your statments minimizing Coopers treason because he is a republican make a mockery of everything this nation stands for.
The republicans have prooven they are not the moral majority but a bunch of hypocrits who use God Like a Pedaphile Priest to hide evil.
Quit watching Faux News and educate yourself to the facts and the truth. Stand up for this nation agaisnt the republicans and democrats who are destorying it. Do not defend either based on party affiliation. We need to clean out the trash so we can take back our nation.
LL&LC,
"By your statments you are spitting on the graves who fought to protect the American birthright. Americans must all stand up to protect this country against the invasion of foriegners. Your statments minimizing Coopers treason because he is a republican make a mockery of everything this nation stands for."
You are the one who is dillusional. I have never, nor will I, defend any of those loathsome pieces of trash, Republican or not. Are you blind, or can you just not read?
Also, you said:
"Cooper committed treason against his country for some foreigners. Benedict Arnold did the same and you know what happened to him."
Well, I know what happened to Benedict Arnold, but YOU APPARENTLY DON'T! Benedict Arnold was paid a bunch of money by the British for his attempt to surrender West Point, and given a general's commission in the British Army. After his service in the war he became a shipping merchant and died of natural causes in London. What's your point?
If you're going to try to make a point, at least try to make an educated one.
I can't believe that he would even consider going on this trip. So, I'm guessing he has a fake PI visa and or passport and is going to test airline and custom security and will one day show up missing and then we will never hear or see of Coop again.. until of course he shows up somewhere as Vernon Vercoe.
Peace seeker BS is all I can say. Yes, Rummy, Cheney, Tenet, Bush, Wolfybaby, Rove, Condi doll and others told us how easy it would be. Seems you are a typical Rep. in complete denial of the truth. Facts remember them they are the opposite of lies. Try them they work better.
Yasgrufarm: You to could do with a little of the truth too. The big reason people are on the Republicans is because they preach morals, are holier than thou, vote against gay right, civil marriage and protest way to much about the gays. But seems most of the ones doing the protesting are in fact seeking what they protest about. BTW is GW gay?
Is Renden under investigation? He should be and the company he runs. Guess these illegals were gonna drive for him, is that true?
You all realize your arguments of "those scumbags are worse than these scumbags" really isn't helping. When you choose the lesser of two evils, evil still wins. It really doesn't matter which one you think is lesser. I have voted for more Republicans than Democrats. I do not consider myself aligned with any party but I vote my beliefs. I do not consider that to be crazy or misguided. I really can't know the heart of an individual. I can only really know what they say and what part of their life is available for the public. With that information I try to make the best guess I can on who should represent me. Even having said that at some point I lost faith in our entire system above the local (city) level. The reason for that is it seems that every politician that comes along is simply another cut and pasted young attorney made and groomed for their 15 minutes of lining their pockets. They all seem to be willing to do and say whatever to whomever they think will propell them into power the quickest and longest. We need leadership at the state and federal level from normal well thinking people that do not have the grooming and are not a part of that machine. I would love to vote for some guy that lost their job at the DANA plant to NAFTA. What about a teacher that worked thirty years at a poor small town school teaching kids while we spent hundreds of millions of tax dollars on ball stadiums. Maybe a retired police officer that knows what its like dealing with illegals. Thats what I'm saying. Problem is those kinds of people don't have the millions to run a campaign. The Congress is now a millionaries club and I have no idea how to get it back.
FARM you display your true lack of intelligence. Attack the information in the post not the poster or shut up!
Yagursfarm. I know what happened to Benedict Arnold. He moved to England but he was given the boot out of this country. I am suggesting the same for Cooper and for those like you who support him. I said nothing different. You need to stop assuming things. It shows your complete lack of intelligence. You can watch the American Revolution on the history channel. Great show. Highly recommend it.
You are so blinded by your republican party you can not see the trees. Get out of my country if you do not love it over your party. Arnold could have been a great American Hero instead he became known as the great American TRAITOR and one of the most hated figures in history. Like all repukes you assume too much and think to little. Try thinking and quit accepting the party line. Love this country and abandon loyalty to the republican party or any party. That is why this country is in trouble. Following a group no matter what they do is not only stupid, it is a disaster for this country. To be independent takes work and the ability to think for oneself. (Not attributes of republicans who have a catholic sheep mentality)
Donnie you are right about one thing they are all scum bags.
"Nathan doesn't have a wife and children." I am sure he will enjoy his time in Federal Prison. He must be queer like so many of the republicans. Maybe he and Senator Craig can get together.
Canned heat You are a GENIUS! Keep Posting!
I have never stated that Republican scumbags are a lesser evil than Democrat scumbags. I simply implied, if not directly stated, that the Republican Party generally does a better job of getting rid of their fleas than the Democrat Party does. That's a fact. I'm not swallowing any party line, and am not blinded by anything.
What I know is this: Democrats capitalize on 1.) old people 2.) poor people 3.) minorities (both ethnical and philosphical minorities) 4.) people who want their moral degeration to become the norm and 5.) everyone else who cannot think for themselves and need a social program to ensure that they survive.
Which of the above categories to you guys fit in to?
Give me a Libertarian or a Republican to more closely represent my views any day. I know they won't do or say everthing that I believe in, but it's sure a world closer than most Democrats. I want a representative that will value my hard work, not despise it and try to keep me in a mediocre life circumstance.
The new motto for the Democrat party should be "Ingorance is Bliss: Join the Party of Utopia".
I cannot believe that Cooper, a man who possibly helped terrorists to gain interest to this country. And he is running around free.. Still collecting money from this bogus company. I sure hope he is under surveillance. What does he have up his sleeve? I agree that he is a traitor to this country. And I thought that was death by hanging or a firing squad? And here he is out traveling having a good old time….
FARM once again you state a conclusion without providing a counterargument. I am an independent I voted for Bush the first go around but voted against him the second time. I will not vote again for a repuke in my lifetime. Republicans have betrayed America. Republicans hate everything American Including Freedom of speech of those who disagree with the neocon agenda.
You state the democrats are the party of dependancy. Yet the Republicans passed the largest governmetn spending program in US history(Prescription Drugs)
Yagur I am at the top of the socio economic ladder and have a post doctorate degree. I am neither poor or a minority. Nor do I benefit either directly or indirectly from any government program of any kind including on my income tax return. (Child Dumping Credits and Babysitting Credits) Can you and your hypocrit republican families say the same thing?
I need nothing from my government other than the right to be free from unwanted intrusion into my family life and the practice of my Christian Faith.
Idiot Hypocrit Republicans say one thing. That they are the party of God but screw little boys and have same sex relations. They lie to start wars. Then even when they are proven wrong refuse to change course. The Republicans are the party of betaryal of their own people. Repubicans are the party of Foreigners(look at Bush's immigration proposal) and Foreign Governments(Bush still does not know he is the President of the USA He stands up Iraq and Mexico and other foreign governments.(see the port deal with Dubai and other terrorist nations) America and Americans are always the last choice of Republicans. Republicans are building infrastructure with our money in Iraq while our own infrastructure collapses including our bridges and schools. Republicans do not know America is a democracy and have mortgaged our nation to communist like China(see the debt owed by the USA to the Chinese)Which is financing the largest Chinese Arms build up in history. Republicans do not know how to add or substract or balance a budget( We have the largest deficit in world history)
Republicans have driven down the value of the dollar through their neocon agenda and have blinded the people of reality by hiding behind God like a pedaphile priest.
You state the republican delouse faster than the Democrats. That appears to be true with some of the Perverts/Traitors. Others like Rove and Cheney are given a free pass either for an extended period or indefinately.
Yagur and FARM how much farm subsidy have you received from our government? You are the ones who rely on the government and want the government to protect you from the great overstated enemy. I choose to rely on myself and my God with a little help from my own Lady Smith and Wesson.
You would be wise to do the same.
Morgan I agree with you completely!
I have a doctorate degree plus a masters degree. (LLM)
I receive no assistance of any kind from any government source including tax credits, or any other source whatsoever. Including on my income taxes. Can you state the same Farm? DO YOU RECEIVE ANY AID, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OR BENEFITS IN ANY FORM FROM THE US GOVERNMENT OR STATE GOVERNMENT INCLUDING TAX CREDITS, NOW OR AT ANY TIME IN THE PAST? INCLUDING SUBSIDIES, FOOD STAMPS, CHILD CARE AFDC, NEDICAID OR MEDICARE? DO OR HAVE YOUR CHILDREN ATTENDED THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM? DO YOU RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY? WELFARE? FREE CHEESE? PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION! If not you demonstrate that like all republican idiots(redundancy) you are hypocrit!
FARM Given the backasswords state of our nation and the icompetence of the Bush administration it would be completely within the stupidity factor that you would defend free speech. Which is a perfect example of how Republicans have repeatedly demonstrated that they are against everything this country stands for. Having someone like FARM Defend free speech is like having Michael Brown manage FEMA. LMAO Those who defend free speech should respect others opinions and would certainly have a better ability to defend a position than you have demonstrated. I sincerely doubt your claim.
You are not very smart I did help people with tax planning but I am retired due to my overwhelming personal success in life.
You are a complete idiot if you believe that measly $1000. a year you pay on your shack covers the expense of a public education. You are on government aid. Hence you are a hypocrit. You are sucking up social benefits. Yet you accuse democrats of receiving them and call them names for it. You are some kind of work. I bet you receive tax credits for your children too??? Sucking up some welfare. Dont criticise those who support their own children when you are asking us to pay the way for yours.
Again your inability to logicly reason and merely attack spelling and grammar shows your complete lack of intelligence. I bet you were raised catholic. Enough Said!
Everyone else enjoy your weekend.
Both political parties are a joke. Extreme fighting extreme.
You all sound like a bunch of pandering idiots..
Power corrupts absolute; absolute power corrupts absolutley. Both parties are just as guilty as the other and quit pretending that they aren't.
btw.. where is Coop? (kind of like where's Waldo?)
I wish you two would stop your flame war. Go back and read the second post by Donnie on Aug 30. In way shape and form it really says it all. I wish the blog had stopped after that post. None of us are standing up for Cooper or any of the myriad of Democrats or Republicans that have let us all down. Most people whom vote for one party of another do it only from some sense of obligation or ownership to their party. Think about Scott County. The republican party doesn't exist. Now ask these same people how they feel about gay civil unions, gun control, prayer in school, partial birth abortions or just about any other platform question you can think of. You would have an overwhelming concervative trend. In short THEY ARE NEARLY ALL REPUBLICANS but they just don't know it. The Democratic Party runs Scott County by tradition. I'm a Dem because my Dad was a Dem kind of thing. To expound on what Donnie was saying is that this system at some point became all about supporting itself and lost those of us it was intended to serve. I will echo his statement "its time to start over" And I will add its time to stop fighting over who is more wrong
Oh, but it's so fun!
A master's degree is NOT a post doctorate education. Nitwit.
Although, LL&LC, you reminded me of another one of categories of people the democrats pander to: Pinheaded "higher" education types who have never had to make a living and sustain a family in the free market. Another utopian layer of society.
I, like F.A.R.M., am not a farmer. (F.A.R.M. knows me very well, but he doesn't know that he knows me.) Hence, no farm subsidies. My name is a pun reference to the very famous music fiasco of 1969, specifically to the man who made a nice chunk of change allowing several thousand smelly hippies to wallow in the mud on his farm for a few days. The ultimate capitalist.
LL&LC, What a maroon (and moron) you are.
Oh, and you are obviously a bigot. Quite in line with your Democrat buddies. You want to string the minorities along with your subsidies, but you hate them.
I wish people could stay on topic, instead of attacking one another.
okay... leaving the country is a bit much
