Nature Center hosts events this weekend

A two-day workshop on cork-decoy making will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. A refundable registration fee is required with sign up. The workshop is for anyone 14 and older. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, "Ducks of Missouri" will be presented for visitors to discover and learn to identify different species of ducks while decoys are being made. A walk-through a maze of duck wings is also on the agenda. No registration is required and the presentation is open to all ages.

Salvation Army holds back-to-school Fair

The Salvation Army will hold its annual back-to-school fair to assist with children who need school supplies from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at 701 Good Hope St. Parents need to bring social security cards for each child or a printout if the cards are not available. Parents can also bring their children to participate in activities in the gym. Call 335-7000 for more information.

Andrew and Canzada Moore reunion set

The annual Andrew and Canzada Moore reunion will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 12 at the Jackson Elks Lodge, lower level, on Route D. Participants should bring a covered dish. Old photographs of ancestors are requested. For more information, call Ray Moore at 243-9055.

Friedrich family reunion planned for Aug. 19

The descendants of Jacob and Marguerita Friedrich will meet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at Delmonico's in Jackson. Bring updated photos.

Farrow reunion will be at Cape County Park

The Farrows will hold a reunion at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at Cape County Park North, Pavilion No. 8. A basket dinner is planned for noon. Call Linda Barber for more information at (573) 824-5504.
