Audience found positive themes in concert music

To the editor:

This is in response to the review of the concert Saturday night. Apparently the reporter was not paying too close attention to the crowd at the concert, nor is "anger-driven" music a correct description of the music played by Three Days Grace and Trapt. If the reporter had listened closer to the lyrics of nearly all the songs played by Trapt, he would have heard songs that were deep and thought-provoking.

Yes, it is possible to have hard guitar-based music that sends a positive message to listeners. The lyrics all center on being yourself and being who you are no matter what. That is definitely not anger-driven. Nor was the crowd simply filled with angry, moshing teens. It was a crowd of all ages.

Maybe it should have been noted too that most of those so-called angry teens were accompanied to the concert by their parents.
