Area students return from Boys State conference

Garrett Pannier, William McLeod, Stanton "Cole" Bradley, Will LaFoe, Joshua Hinton and Paul Joseph Guidos III, all of Cape Girardeau Central High School; Ben Skelton of Saxony Lutheran High School; and Joseph Stoverink, Adam Parker, Nicholas Barwick, Andy McIntyre and Christopher McMillan, all of Notre Dame Regional High School, attended Missouri Boys State conference last month at the University of Central Missouri at Warrensburg. Hooks attends national youth leadership forum

Daniel Hooks, son of David and Priscilla Hooks of Jackson and a senior at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., attended the recent 2007 National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at Emory University.

Local student attends leadership program

Kayla Essner of Benton, Mo., a student at Notre Dame Regional High School, recently attended the Missouri Chamber of Commerce Leadership in Practice program at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.
