Letter to the Editor

Limbaugh book is hypocritical about persecution

To the editor:

David Limbaugh's new book, "Persecution," shows that he is about as paranoid as his brother, Rush. He is talking like a crackhead.

The thing that has changed in this country in the past two and a half years is the passage of the Patriot Act and the Homeland Security Bill, both of which are inimical to our constitutional rights. You in Missouri know who the person behind these is, because he is from your state.

The main threat of persecution comes from the rip-off right, not from the left. Conservatives are ripping off our rights, our jobs, our national self-respect, our heritage and our money (in their subservience to what Dwight Eisenhower called the military-industrial complex).

It is more than a little hypocritical for Limbaugh to bemoan persecution while bragging about the machinery for it being put into place.
