A new set of solar panels was unfurled to 49 percent Tuesday outside the international space station orbiting Earth. The second pair of solar wings was deployed in a slow process with the wing unfolded halfway, then allowed to warm in the sun for about 30 minutes to prevent the solar panels from sticking together.
