Beardslee rips the cover off the ball in Oran's rout

Oran junior Tyler Beardslee had four hits, including a home run and a double, and three RBIs on Tuesday in a 15-5 rout at district foe Bell City.

Oran (17-4) had 17 hits. Caleb Seyer had three hits, a home run and four RBIs. Alex Chasteen had three RBIs and Kody Campbell added two hits and a home run.

Chasteen moved to 6-0 on the mound. He allowed four earned runs on seven hits in five innings.

Clay Dover had two home runs and four RBIs in the loss.

Logan Glueck provided the big blow with a two-run homer in the sixth. Himmelberg struck out eight and walked one. Chad Friend and Jordan Buchheit added two hits apiece for the Bulldogs (12-9).

Meadow Heights sweeps doubleheader

Meadow Heights swept a doubleheader at home.

Derrick Hanners threw a one-hit gem in the first game, striking out five in five innings for the 6-0 victory.

In the second game, John Long struck out eight batters and allowed three hits in an 11-2 victory. Taylor Wanger hit a two run home run and Cody Kennedy added two hits, two RBIs and two stolen bases.
