Scott City's Samplewins at Sikeston

Rob Sample of Scott City won the Super Pro Class at the Sikeston Drag Strip on April 28.

Sample had an elapsed time of 4.95 seconds and reached 138.41 mph. He had a reaction time of .502 seconds.

David Leonard, also from Scott City, finished second in the Pro Class.

Capahas will conduct tryouts Sunday

The Plaza Tire Capahas will hold open tryouts 3 p.m. Sunday at Capaha Field.

Tryouts are open to all comers except American Legion eligible players and college players with seasons still ongoing.

Limbaugh shoots aceat Dalhousie

Jim Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau carded his first hole in one Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Limbaugh used a 5-iron from 176 yards on No. 11. Cord Dombrowski, Rob Erlbacher and Ken Witbrodt witnessed the ace.
