Margaret Campbell Brinkopf, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 30, 2007, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Jackson, daughter of John F. and Minnie W. Meyer Campbell. She married Benjamin R. Brinkopf May 9, 1947. He preceded her in death Aug. 16, 1986.
Margaret graduated from Jackson High School, and attended Cape Girardeau Business College. During her lifetime she was employed by the Southeast Missourian, Cape Girardeau School District, and in her retirement years was the television hostess at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was baptized and confirmed at Hanover Lutheran Church. She was a longtime Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher, a member of Hanover Ladies Aid, Dramatic Club and Evangelism Committee.
Survivors include three children, sons Louis (Carol Goldsmith) Brinkopf of Cape Girardeau, Paul (Ann Harrison-Brinkopf) Brinkopf of Bonita Springs, Fla., and a daughter, Anne Brinkopf of Chicago. She is also survived by two beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Louis Brinkopf and Mary Margaret Brinkopf of Bonita Springs. Also surviving is a brother, Bill Campbell of Jackson, and a sister, Venieta (Neat) Willbrand of St. Charles, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Harbison, and a brother, Marvin Campbell, both of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hanover Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be immediately following at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Hanover Lutheran Cemetery.
