Letter to the Editor

Jim Trickey was man of compassion

"Tuesdays With Jimmy." The same as with Morrie, just someone in our neighborhood.

Jim Trickey, who lost his life to ALS on April 14, was such a great asset to his community by being a wonderful, honest and caring person to everyone. He loved his family and friends deeply, and there was nothing phony about him. As the saying goes, "What you see is what you get." Jim was a godsend to those who knew and loved him over the years. He would not just shake your hand but give you a great hug that assured you that you were somebody and meant something to him.

We were so blessed to have had him in our lives. Jim's wit, humor and remarkable knowledge of the world around us was amazing. He was so wise and knowledgeable about everything that concerned us. Jim Trickey will be missed.
