Central routs Farmington in tennis action

Central's boys tennis team improved to a perfect 6-0 on Wednesday with a 6-3 victory over visiting Farmington.

David Berry, Patrick Duffy, Robert Weir and Will LaFoe all won singles matches. In doubles, Duffy and Weir teamed up to win, along with Brandon Gonzales and LaFoe.

Central will take its perfect record to a tournament in Columbia on Friday.

GOLFJackson 168, Sikeston 179, Notre Dame 182

A.J. Balsman led Jackson to a tri-meet win with a 38.

Josh Wheeler shot a 42 for the Indians, and Brian Hill and T.J. Smith each shot 44.

John Oliver led the Bulldogs with a 44, Austin Hunter and Brett Slaten shot 45 and Austin Gelsheimer shot a 48.

Central 162, Dexter 180

Central improved to 4-4 with an 18-shot victory over Dexter.

Jack Connell led the Tigers with a 37. Tim Simmons shot a 39, Jordan Sheets fired a 43, and Cole Viers tallied a 45.

GIRLS SOCCERNotre Dame 5, Central 0

Notre Dame routed rival Central in a road conference game.

The Bulldogs (6-2) led 4-0 at halftime. Courtney Luehmann scored twice for the Bulldogs, and Meridith Medlin, Destiny Dirnberger and Megan Robert added goals.

Dirnberger (2), Medlin and Mindy Siebert had assists. Claudia Brauss and Shelley Frank combined for the shutout.

Central fell to 5-6.

JV -- Notre Dame won 4-0.
