Prosecutor to sign books April 14

Friday, March 30, 2007

Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle will appear for a book signing from 3 to 5 p.m. April 14 at Barnes & Noble. His latest book, "Scoundrels to the Hoosegow: Perry Mason Moments and Entertaining Cases from the Files of a Prosecuting Attorney," comes out today. The book is a sometimes humourous account of some of the prosecutor's cases over the past 20 years.

Swingle will give a talk about writing the book at 7 p.m. April 18 at the University Center at Southeast Missouri State University. This is a joint presentation with Judge Robert H. Dierker from St. Louis, who will give a speech about his book, "The Tyranny of Tolerance: A Sitting Judge Breaks the Code of Silence to Expose the Liberal Judicial Assault."

Swingle will give another presentation at 7 p.m. April 19 at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
