The opener will be Aug. 30 at Cincinnati, a Division I-A team from the Big East Conference that was 7-5 last season, including a win over Western Michigan in the International Bowl in Toronto, Canada.

Southeast and Cincinnati will kick off the Thursday game at 6 p.m.

The Redhawks' home opener with be against Division II Southwest Baptist at 6 p.m. Sept. 8.

As previously reported, Southeast will play only seven Ohio Valley Conference games this year, missing Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State.

Nonconference foes in addition to Cincinnati and Southwest Baptist are Gateway Conference members Indiana State and Missouri State.

"We have a very tough schedule, but it will be good to have six of the games at Houck Stadium," Samuel said.
