The following information was released by the office of federal prosecutor Catherine Hanaway for defendants appearing in federal court before U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel.

sentenced

* Name: Clifton Brown

* Age: 22

* Residence: Tamms, Ill.

* Charge: possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

* Sentence: 130 months in prison

* Summary: On April 17, state law enforcement officers served a search warrant on a Cape Girardeau storage unit rented by Brown. The officers found and seized about 4 pounds of marijuana, firearms and other items associated with the sale of controlled substances. The next day officers searched an apartment where Brown was found and discovered marijuana, ammunition and two pistols under a bed. Brown later admitted he had the pistol for his protection while selling crack cocaine, cocaine and marijuana.

* Name: Jose Manuel Cena

* Age: 36

* Residence: Jackson

* Charge: attempt to possess 50 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

* Sentence: 100 months in prison followed by supervised release for five years

* Summary: Cena admitted he arranged methamphetamine to be shipped to him for sale in the Jackson area. DEA and U.S. Postal Inspection Service agents arrested him Sept. 19.

* Name: Derrick J. Harrell

* Age: 41

* Residence: Kennett, Mo.

* Charge: previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm

* Sentence: 51 months in prison

* Summary: On Feb. 3, 2005, a Kennett, Mo., police officer stopped a car for a traffic violation in which Harrell was a passenger. Harrell exited the car and attempted to get away from the officers. When officers stopped him, a .25-caliber pistol was found on the ground near where he had been walking. He admitted it was his pistol. Due to previous felony convictions, Harrell is forbidden to possess firearms.

* Name: Crystal M. Warren

* Age: 22

* Residence: Cape Girardeau

* Charge: possession with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of cocaine base and possession with intent to distribute cocaine

* Summary: In April, state law enforcement officers, with the use of a drug dog, found crack and powder cocaine in Warren's car.

* Name: Reginald Foote

* Age: 36

* Residence: Cape Girardeau

* Charge: distribution of 5 grams or more of cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base

* Summary: With his guilty plea, Foote admitted that on May 28, 2003, and Aug. 28, 2003, he sold more than 5 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover officer with the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force.

* Name: Kenneth W. Marcum

* Age: 45

* Residence: East Prairie, Mo.

* Charge: manufacture of methamphetamine

* Summary: In his plea agreement, Marcum admitted that on Oct. 10 officers from the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department went to his residence to arrest him on an outstanding warrant. They found a shed on the property emitting an odor associated with methamphetamine production. When officers searched the property, they found a number of items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

* Name: Andre D. Mister

* Age: 28

* Residence: Kennett, Mo.

* Charge: distribution of 5 grams or more of cocaine base

* Summary: At his plea, Mister admitted that on July 14, Aug 8, and Aug. 30, he sold more than 5 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover officer with the Southeast Missouri Drug Task force.
