GIPSY, Mo. -- Glen Hood, 92, of Gipsy died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
He was born June 7, 1914, near Fredericktown, Mo., son of Henry and Daisy Skaggs Hood. He and Eva Jackson were married June 10, 1950, at Marble Hill, Mo. She died June 22, 2001.
Hood worked in the logging and farming business. He was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Puxico, Mo.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Glen Hood of Kennett, Mo., Oatis Hood of Zalma, Mo.; two daughters, Ruby Windeknecht of Perkins, Mo., Della Hamm of Scott City; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, two sons, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dale Holman officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy.
