Jackson -- MRS. HELEN P. (SEABAUGH) VANGILDER, 85, OF JACKSON, DIED THURSDAY, SEPT. 4, 2003, AT HER HOME.

SHE WAS BORN SEPT. 30, 1917, IN CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO., DAUGHTER OF GARRETT AND EMMA BOLLINGER SEABAUGH. SHE AND ROBERT "BOB" VANGILDER WERE MARRIED IN PERRYVILLE, MO., OCT. 13, 1938. HE PRECEDED HER IN DEATH AUG. 15, 1991.

LOVING SURVIVORS INCLUDE TWO DAUGHTERS AND SONS-IN-LAW, JACQUELINE AND MAX KORTE OF LOWELL, IND., AND JANE AND ROBERT THOMPSON OF ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.; ONE SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, ROBERT AND JACQUELIN VANGILDER JR. OF ST. CHARLES, MO.; ONE SISTER, RUTH SCHLEGEL AND HER HUSBAND, NORMAN, OF GORDONVILLE, MO.; THREE BROTHERS, WILLIAM SEABAUGH OF SIKESTON, MO., JOHN SEABAUGH AND WIFE LORENE OF MILLERSVILLE, MO.; AND ROBERT SEABAUGH AND WIFE DOROTHY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU; A SISTER-IN-LAW, JEWEL SEABAUGH OF GORDONVILLE; 17 GRANDCHILDREN AND 27 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.

IN ADDITION TO HER HUSBAND, SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS; ONE BROTHER, PAUL SEABAUGH; THREE SISTERS AND BROTHERS-IN-LAW, FAITH AND WALTER PENDER, PAT AND THAYER LEWIS AND VERAL AND CLARENCE NEUMEYER.

MRS. VANGILDER WAS A VERY ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH IN CAPE GIRARDEAU, ITS RUTH CIRCLE AND THE NOON SHINERS ORGANIZATION.

VISITATION WILL BE FROM 4-8 P.M. SATURDAY AT THE MCCOMBS FUNERAL HOME, 640 W. INDEPENDENCE, JACKSON. FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE AT 2 P.M. SUNDAY AT THE ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1900 CAPE LA CROIX ROAD, CAPE GIRARDEAU, WITH THE REV. ROBERT KLEIN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY.

THE FAMILY REQUEST MEMORIAL DONATIONS BE MADE IN THEIR MOTHER'S NAME TO ST. MARK LUTHERAN CHURCH OR SOUTHEAST MISSOURI HOSPICE.
