Richard "Rich" Noah, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born July 12, 1949, in St. Louis, son of Norman Richard and Helen Louise Curtis Noah. He and Sharon Pruitt were married July 15, 2005, in Cape Girardeau.
Noah attended Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army from April 23, 1969, to Dec. 3, 1970. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 3775 and lifetime member of VFW Post 3838.
Noah had worked in maintenance at Wal-Mart in Jackson since 2000. Prior to that he owned Richard's Hideout in Shawneetown from 1985 to 2000. He had also worked at Florsheim Shoe Co.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Helen Caudill of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Anna Marie Noah of Shawneetown; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Blissett of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Darrin Pruitt of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shirley Walker of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, David Noah of Cape Girardeau; two stepbrothers, Richard and Vance McCuan of Jackson; two grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
