Amy Joy Marchbanks and Bradley Lon Neels were married Sept. 16, 2006, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. The Revs. Paul Short and Gregory Smith performed the ceremony. Pianist was Joy Schubert of Jackson. Soloists were Kim Daniel of Cape Girardeau, and Richard Marchbanks of Columbia City, Ind., uncle of the bride.
Parents of the couple are Steve and Sue Marchbanks and Jerry and Rhonda Neels, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Amanda Hutteger of Cape Girardeau, and matron of honor was Sandy Stepanovic of St. Louis, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Aimee Bosch, Trina Dickmann and Holly Schuessler of St. Louis, and Ashley Weinkein of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaids were Rachel and Jackie Stepanovic of St. Louis, cousins of the bride.
The groom chose his father and Eric Niswonger of Cape Girardeau as best men. Groomsmen were Darren and Trevor Neels, brothers of the groom; Randy Morris and Nathanial Brink, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Cory Marchbanks of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride, and Richard Marchbanks.
Candlelighters were Darby Caton of St. Joseph, Mo., and Sarah Hyslop of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girls were Audrey and Anna Daniel, twin daughters of John and Kim Daniel.
Guest book attendants were Andrea and Sarah Wiesner of O'Fallon, Ill., cousins of the bride.
The reception was held at the VFW Hall.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 15 at the Elks Lodge.
Mrs. Neels is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor's degree in child development from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is an ABA therapist for children with autism.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast in 2006. He is a police officer with Cape Girardeau Police Department. He is also a sergeant and serves with the military police in the National Guard.
After a cruise to Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
