FCCLA service project

Members of the Thomas W. Kelly school district's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) organization recently participated in a community service project for the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis. The Ronald McDonald House is a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children who have come to St. Louis seeking medical attention for their children. Each night the St. Louis House provides 39 families with a place to stay so they can be close to their children. On Halloween, 19 members went trick-or-treating in Benton, Mo., to collect donations such as canned goods, cleaning supplies and other items. Donation boxes were also placed in local churches and donation cans were placed in local businesses.
