Irma Stewart Hill, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Osceola, Neb. She was the daughter of Charles and Elsie (Wolfe) Stewart.
She married W. Victor Hill on July 20, 1946, in Washington, D.C. He preceded her death on Feb. 27, 1987.
Irma graduated Osceola High School and Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb.
She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1967 from Caruthersville, Mo.
She was employed by Southeast Missouri Hospital as an executive secretary for 20 years and retired April 1, 1988.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Esther Sunday School Class, B&B White Circle, Chapter LY, P.E.O. Sisterhood.
She was a member of the Southeast Hospital Association and Foundation and Southeast Hospital Auxiliary and Volunteer.
She is survived by nieces Marilyn Lincoln of Virginia, Pam Smith McCoy of Colorado, Patty Slack of California, Vicki Stewart Schaf of Nebraska, Sue Hellwege of Cape Girardeau; nephews Jerry Stewart of Virginia, Mark Stewart of Nebraska, Doug Smith of Colorado, L.W. Trammell of Columbia, Mo., Gary Trammell of Dexter, Mo., Vic Trammell of Oklahoma; sister-in-law Lenora Stewart of Shelby, Neb.; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, sister and nephew.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Service will be at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.
Burial will be at Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter, Mo.
