Surgeon: Sen. Johnson's progress after brain operation 'encouraging'

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Tim Johnson was experiencing postsurgery swelling in his brain Friday, but his doctors said his recovery was still encouraging. They said he would remain hospitalized until the swelling went down.
