Natural decor workshop scheduled this weekend

The Missouri Department of Conservation's Conservation Campus Nature Center at Cape County Park North will host a workshop for adults from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday called "Nature's Decor." Participants will learn techniques for making gifts and holiday decorations using natural materials. Registration is required. For more information, call (573) 290-5218.

KRCU begins holiday specials today

KRCU 90.9 FM will broadcast holiday programs starting today at 3 p.m. with "Glad Tidings 2006," a blend of stories, verse and choral performances in a Christmas theme. Other holiday programming includes "The Pleasures of Winter 2006" at 9 a.m. Sunday; "A Classical Kids Christmas" at 7 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Dec. 21; the annual solstice program of "A Musical Meander" at 8 p. m. Dec. 21; "Jazz at Lincoln Center" at 9 p.m. Dec. 22; "A Christmas Carol" at 2 p.m. Dec. 23 and 10 p.m. Dec. 24; "Christmas with the Philadelphia Singers" at 1 p.m. Christmas Day; "Season's Griot" at 7 p.m. Dec. 27 and "Carols for Dancing" at 2 p.m. Dec. 30.
