Religions masks misguided beliefs

To the editor:

Did I read correctly last week's report of a Missouri Baptist Convention speaker's proclamation that Islam is evil? If so, this makes me both angry and sad that such misguided beliefs are spoken in the name of Christianity.

Obviously, every religion has its followers who cause more harm than good, as demonstrated by words as well as actions.

This man does not represent my understanding of the heart of Christianity. He certainly does not speak for me.
