Thanks for community's generosity

To the editor:

It is with heartfelt gratitude and admiration that we write this letter of appreciation. Your support for Sahara Aldridge has been phenomenal. The benefit concert, "Hope for Hoops," on Sunday was a tremendous success, thanks to your generosity. Sahara danced the afternoon away with her friends and family to the music of the Mike Renick Band and The Intention. A special thanks for the talent and time given to this cause from these local musicians.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the following sponsors for their contributions: Kidd's Gas and Convenience Stores, Rhodes 101 Stops, Texas Roadhouse, O'Charley's, Panera, Southeast Missouri State University, Pampered Chef Consultant, Carol Nunnery and Coca-Cola. Thank you to the Southeast Missourian, Mississippi River Radio and KFVS12 for bringing awareness to the community surrounding this event. Thank you to the staff of Central Middle School for giving your time to make the benefit run without blemish and to Tina and Emily Hagan from Little Helpers for their generous donation to the Aldridge family from profits received at the concert. Finally, with much appreciation, we thank the Cape Girardeau Jaycee chapter for its considerable donation to make this all happen.

The community of Cape Girardeau stepped up in a big way this weekend all for a truly amazing little girl. Thank you for your participation and continue to keep the Aldridge family in your thoughts.
