Pastor Jeffrey Stephen "Jeff" Williams, 46, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at his home.
He was born Oct. 27, 1959, in Cocoa Beach, Fla., son of the late George and Edna Mae Hunt Williams. He and Abby Docken were married May 31, 1987, in Pasadena, Calif. She survives.
Jeffrey was a 1977 graduate of Mount Juliet High School in Mount Juliet, Tenn. He attended Ambassador College of Pasadena where he graduated in 1987 with a degree in theology. In 1995 he moved to Jackson from Lexington, Ky. Jeffrey was a minister for the former New Life Fellowship Church in Cape Girardeau and currently pastor of New Covenant Fellowship Church in Paducah, Ky.
In addition to his loving wife, survivors include a son, Nathan Williams of Jackson; a daughter, Naomi Williams of Jackson; stepmother, Mildred Williams of Shelbyville, Tenn; a brother, Michael and Debbie Williams of Clarksville, Tenn; and his mother-in-law, Marie Docken of Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Austin James Williams, and four brothers.
Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
