Fifteen marching bands to take part in festival
Monday, October 2, 2006
Area high school students will march through the streets of Jackson on Tuesday. The 62nd annual Jackson Marching Band Festival parade begins at 4 p.m. and will travel from the high school down High, Main and Russell streets before returning to the school. Fifteen bands from area schools will participate in this year's event. Each band will perform, one at a time, at the Jackson High School football stadium at 6:30 p.m. The cost for the marching band performances at the football stadium is $2 for adults and $1 for students. In case of bad weather, the festival will be rescheduled on Oct. 10.
