Harold Lee Pensel, 69, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at the family farm.
He was born Sept. 19, 1936, near Fruitland, son of the late Louis R. and Edna C. Kasten Pensel. He and Donna Langston were married Oct. 25, 1959.
Harold attended Jackson High School and lived on the family farm west of Fruitland his entire life. He was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fruitland.
He was a former church council member and was the current chairman of the repair and maintenance committee. He was a former board member of Cape County Farm Bureau, a former adviser for Excelsior Chapter Order of DeMolay and was a founding member of SEMO Dairymen Inc.
Harold was currently a member and past master of Whitewater Lodge 417, Sword of Bunker Hill, and Jackson Chapter 91 Order of Eastern Star.
Loving survivors include his wife of 46 years; a son, Dr. Rodney (Pamela) Pensel of Jackson; a daughter, Patti (Jerry) Siemers of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Justin, Jared, and Jonathan Siemers of Cape Girardeau, and Katelynn and Lydia Pensel of Jackson; three brothers, Carl (Dorothy) Pensel of Jackson, Raymond (Mary Ann) Pensel of Cape Girardeau, Gerald (Mary Sue) Pensel of Crestwood, Mo.; a sister, Mary (Bob) Feemster of Jackson; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry "Diz" and Dorothy Hahs of Oak Ridge.
Friends may call today from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with a Masonic service at 7:30.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Schaffner officiating. Interment will be in St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery at Fruitland.
