A brief, slow police chase in Jackson early Thursday evening briefly snarled traffic. Officers pursued a westbound driver on Jackson Boulevard suspected of driving while intoxicated, police chief James Humphreys said at the scene. A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper said the chase never went faster than 20 mph. The vehicle was pulled over around the 500 block of East Jackson Boulevard, and the driver was Tasered. At the scene, paramedics were treating the suspect for a small head wound. Additional details were not immediately available.
