Public school is no place for religion

To the editor:

Public schools are designed for education, not religion. A person should feel safe to express his or her religious beliefs in a peaceful fashion. However, public school-sponsored religion is against the separation of church and state. As a Wiccan, I am used to not sharing the same religious views as the majority. The First Amendment gives me, and everyone else in this country, the freedom of religion. Unless your organization or school is sponsored by a religion, you have absolutely no right to force a religion upon someone else. "Freedom of religion" means any religion.
