Letter to the Editor

God looks at what's on the inside

To the editor:

I go to church every Sunday, most Sunday nights and as often as I can on Wednesday nights. Sometimes I wear sandals. Sometimes I wear shorts. Sometimes I wear jeans. And I also wear dress slacks at times with a collared shirt. I was baptized wearing swimming trunks.

I believe in God. I believe that Jesus died for our sins. I believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe in the gifts of the Spirit. I believe God has a plan for each one of us. I believe that we must put on the armor of God every day. I believe in prayer. I also believe in the Ten Commandments.

I do not believe God looks at what we are wearing on the outside to church. I believe that God looks at our hearts. It's what is on the inside that matters most. If someone is offended at what someone else is wearing to church, that's your problem. I pray that God will help you through this.
