Wisconsin man killed in accident on I-55

An automobile accident on Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County took the life of a Milwaukee, Wis., man late Saturday night. Reginald Adams, 45, received fatal injuries when the vehicle he was riding in ran off the roadway and overturned at approximately 10:15 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred four miles north of Oak Ridge on southbound I-55. The driver of the vehicle, Betty Hopgood, of Forest, Miss., lost control after a tire blowout. Hopgood, 55, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center.
