Two men were arrested near the Osage Community Centre over the weekend and charged with drug possession.
Devin Eastman, 18, of 1450 Kingsway Drive, and Quency D. Wallace, 27, of 838 S. Ellis St., were arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday when a police officer on patrol saw a car parked behind the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway, according to police spokesman Jason Selzer.
The vehicle containing Eastman and Wallace left the area at a high rate of speed, prompting the officer to pull it over.
During a search of Eastman and Wallace, the prescription drug Xanax was found on both men, Selzer said. Cocaine was also found on Wallace.
Eastman was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, and Wallace was charged with two counts of the same.
Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Wallace and $2,500 cash for Eastman.
