Man accused of hitting officer waives hearing

A 20-year-old man accused of hitting a Cape Girardeau police officer on Memorial Day and having forged documents waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday. Associate Circuit Judge Gary A. Kamp bound Carlos Quintas, of 2813 Whitener St., over to circuit court and scheduled him to appear before Judge Benjamin Lewis Monday morning.
