Visitors could have fine view from old bridge

To the editor:

I hate to see the Cape Girardeau bridge destroyed. In Keokuk, Iowa, they closed off both ends of the bridge. Now people walk, ride bikes and stop to take pictures of bald eagles, steamboats and fireworks. People here would enjoy a nice walk to see the river.
