Patients should come first, not reps

To the editor:

Last week I had a doctor's appointment for 10 a.m. I arrived at that time and waited until 11 a.m. before being called back to the first room. During that hour of waiting, seven sales reps came in, and five were taken back. I waited until 12:25 p.m. to see the doctor. He was out of the room by 12:30 p.m. When I left the building, all of the sales reps were gone. It seems to me patients should come first, and the sales reps should either have to set up an appointment or the doctors should set aside time for the reps and not make appointments for patients during that time. It seems the reps are more important to the doctors than their patients.
