Wanda Lea Lindy, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Oct. 6, 1930, in West Frankfort, Ill., daughter of Henry L. and Sylvia Biggs Barnes. She and Leslie Lindy were married June 30, 1947, in West Frankfort. He preceded her in death July 12, 2004.
She and her husband owned and operated the Lindy Line Restaurant and Trains & Things Museum. She also worked at Ozarc Gas, and Division of Family Services Energy Assistance Program. She was an active member of Capaha Antique Car Club, member of National Corvair Collectors and a founding member of Mount Auburn Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Suedekum of Cape Girardeau; a son, Les Lindy Jr. of Gordonville; three grandchildren, Meredith Musgraves of Cape Girardeau, Sylvia Lindy and Sara Lindy of Gordonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Marcus Musgraves.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wes Wright officiating. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort at 3 p.m. Friday.
