Mrs. Myrtle Marie "Dolly" Nash, 88, of Anna, Ill., passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Chicago, daughter of James and Sarah McDuffee. She and Howard E. Nash were married on March 2, 1936, in Bloomfield, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1987.
Dolly was a charter member of the Southern Illinois Fox Hunters Association and continued her interest and love of foxes her entire life. She loved working in her flower gardens and appreciated the wonders of nature. She was a role model for elegance and strength.
Dolly is survived by two children, Geraldine Davis and husband, Dareld, of Jackson and Jim Nash and wife, Debbie, of Cobden; six grandchildren, Brad and wife Leslie Davis, Jean and husband George Modglin, Nora and husband Greg Duffy, Carol and husband Bill Clutts, Mary and husband Scott Swink and Jamie Nash; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha, Lindsey, Shannon, Kelsie, Mason, Heather, Caleb and Katelyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle "Dolly" Nash will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brian Romines Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Anna Illinois Veterans Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
