Perhaps the devil is to blame

To the editor:

Recently there appeared in the news an account of two teenagers, 15 and 17, who had broken into the KFC eating establishment and held an employee at gunpoint. Almost daily similar incidents occur that appear to be getting out of control. I commend Judge William Syler in his decision to place a 10-year prison sentence on the youths.

Thanks to the videotape for the capture of the criminal holding a gun to the head of the employee, who was threatened with being killed.

Since youths continue to be a danger to society, perhaps a stiffer law will be necessary.

Drugs play a major part in the behavior of many today. Where do you think they get their start? Shouldn't the pharmacy be the logical answer? I think so, and I feel I am right.

Remember Flip Wilson on his television show saying, "The devil made me do it"? Perhaps today the devil is also the blame of those committing wrong.

Hold to the good that is in you. Remember it is there. You will be glad. Want to bet?
