Perryville soccer wins third straight

The Perryville girls soccer team stretched its winning streak to three games with a 4-0 rout Thursday at Fredericktown.

Amber Hacker recorded her third goal and fifth assist of the season to lead the Pirates (4-1).

Katie Fulton, Alicia Kueker and Kendra Schilli also scored for Perryville, while Chelsea Marr and Jocelyn Moll added assists.

Chastity Marr made eight saves in goal for her second shutout.

Central 3, Harrisburg (Ill.) 1

Meghan Orr scored twice and assisted on another goal to lead the Tigers to a road win.

Lee Thomas added a goal for Central (3-2), and Michelle Noland had an assist.

St. Vincent 0, Pacific 0

Megan Wengert made seven saves as the Squaws played to a scoreless tie.

St. Vincent moved to 2-2-2.

BASEBALL Jackson 8, Scott City 3

Jackson stretched its winning streak to two games with a home win.

Cameron Heath allowed six hits, four walks and struck out seven in six innings for the win. Jackson improved to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the SEMO Conference.

Luke Crader led the Indians' offense with three hits. Taylor Busch added two hits and two RBIs, and Austin Leimer had two hits.

Andy Stephens allowed five earned runs in 5 2/3 innings for the loss. Rynn Eskew had two hits for the Rams.
