St. Paul Lutheran School holds Winter Olympics

St. Paul Lutheran School's kindergarten classes held their own winter Olympics recently in the school gym with the help of their PE teacher, Ellen Koeper. Fourth-grade classes helped by judging, measuring and record-keeping.

Kindergarten athletes participated in bobsled, speed skating, curling, figure skating, ski jumping and cross country skiing. The events were improvised with scooters, stocking feet, cones and balance beams. Official Olympic music was played at the March 6 awards ceremony.

Participants in Lisa White's class were Carson Barnes, Addison Beussink, Henry Bonney, Brittany Byrd, Stephanie Elefson, Emily Green, Miranda Hines, Casey Kester, Mallorie Masterson, Laurel Mueller, Camille Park, Matthew Parrish, Alexa Pewitt, Zachary Randolph, Isaac Scheper, Isabelle Singh, Bailey Steffens, Ralph Street, Rachal Urhahn and Brayden Williams.

Participants in Marilyn Hoffstetter's class were Taylor Darlage, Ashlee Eatherton, Gracie Friga, Jakoata Gordon, Joshua Guettermann, Meggan Holbrook, Lillian Johnson, Gage Kinder, Andrew King, Benjamin Krewson, Tyler Mockler, Maggie Morrow, Katherine Rhodes, Kameron Schaefer, Maci Smith, Anna Stanek, Gavin Steffens, Lauryn Varner, Rachel Wichern and Jordan Wybert.
