Arizona man receives 12-year prison sentence

A Phoenix, Ariz. man was sentenced Monday to 12 years in federal prison for attempting to sell two pounds methamphetamine in Missouri. U.S. District Judge Charles A. Shaw handed down the 148-month sentence to Salvadore Rodriguez, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Rodriguez was arrested Sept. 14 in Neelyville, Mo. when he admitted to undercover officers a suitcase carrying two pounds of meth was his, a news release from U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway's office stated. After his prison sentence, Rodriguez will be placed on five years supervised release.
