Saint Francis pediatrics gets valentinesMonday, February 20, 2006The women of Zeta Phi Beta, a sorority at Southeast Missouri State University, created valentine gifts containing candy, toys and personalized messages for distribution to children hospitalized at Saint Francis Medical Center. Each valentine had a personal message, a stuffed puppy and other toys to help entertain the children while they heal. The women of Zeta Phi Beta annually provide more than 350 hours of community services and believe in a purpose that fosters ideals of service, scholarship, sisterhood, civic and cultural endeavors, charity and finer womanhood. The group regularly participates in civic functions and has previously worked with the Lutheran Home, Salvation Army, the area women's shelter and the Cape Girardeau Fire Department. |
